A Fresh Take On Late Bloomers

A FRESH TAKE ON LATE BLOOMERS

Welcome to 2019! This is the time that we detox our lives and bodies and get moving-right?? If you haven’t started yet, don’t beat yourself up. Do what I do and pull a Scarlet O’Hara..."I can’t think about that right now. If I do, I’ll go crazy. I’ll think about that tomorrow.” One of my favorite lines in Gone With the Wind!

Who are Late Bloomers? I’m one, but I actually think we are all late bloomers at some point in our lives. Was Joe Pilates a late bloomer? Story goes that he started devising his system of exercises at age 9-not exactly late bloomer material. But, it did take him many years of study and practice and trial and error to create his method he named "Contrology." His genius was lying latent until it was the right time for his work to be tested.

Joe Pilates believed that you could survive anything - as long as you were practicing his method. His decades of work was created to prove that one notion…and prove it over and over and over again he did.

For my new clients, remember this: practicing Pilates will make a late bloomer out of you . This method will take time and patience, but the payoffs are life changing. Yes, to be a late bloomer is a good thing! There is no time like the present to start anew. Continue that project you’ve been working on or change gears and go in a new direction. No success happens overnight. So keep plugging away, no matter your age and if you need a day to think about things like Scarlet O’Hara, no worries! After all, "tomorrow is another day!”

See you in the studio!

In Peace and Health,

Debbie
